Suits For Success

Suits for Success is entering into a new phase of our goals. The State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections has agreed to let us supply them with women's clothing that is suitable for interviewing. Again this is our goal to provide clothes so the parolees can get away from the environment that got them into jail. "SFS" wants them employed, making a living for themselves and their families and gain respect once again for themselves.
We have filled all Women's Prisons in Illinois and will continue to replace what is given. However, the Western Suburbs of Chicago have more than enough to give to cover Wisconsin. Thanks to all of you.

We will reach quite a milestone within the next month. 50,000 garments delivered. This could never have been done without the money given or the clothes donated to Suits for Success. Also, the 4 dry cleaners that have done most of the work: Signature Cleaners in Naperville, KC Cleaners in Joliet, Green Acres in Sugar Grove and DeKalb and A1 Cleaners all over Rockford.

Below are just two of the beneficiaries from Kewanee Life Center (IDOC). Kewanee agreed in 2018 to become a hub from which 19 other prisons benefit from all the clothes.

New goals for 2020. We hope to increase our clothes to men's prisons by 30% which is going from 21,000 to 27,000 delivered. This while completely filling the needs of the women's prisons in Decatur and Logan IDOC.
To do this we will need more sources for clothes and more volunteers.

So you will take mens suits? Do I just bring them?

We could never have delivered the 27,000 clothes this year without the dry cleaners: KC Cleaners in Joliet, Green Acres in Sycamore and DeKalb and the founder Signature Cleaners on S. Wehrli in Naperville. Pictured in the bottom right is Country Squire our cleaners South in Champaign.

3 years. It does not seem that long since I took 362 suits and dress shirts down to Stateville Prison. Then we added State Prisons:Sheridan then the Women's prisons of Logan and Decatur. Then Kewanee as a hub of 19 prisons. Now we have delivered since 2016 41,900 clothes. It is definitely a God thing that we are doing with 17 volunteers and the support of the Illlinois Professional Dry Cleaners and Launderers. ... See MoreSee Less

Congrats on the anniversary

Thanks for your service to humanity God bless each of you Humanitarians

O wow the imater going to wearing suit dress 👗 👚

Let’s not forget about the work the inmates also put in

Howdy, friends! I have about a dozen casual dress shirts, mostly long sleeve mediums and larges that I was gonna drop off in one of the United Way containers, but I’d much rather donate them to a re-entry ministry. Any chance you all plan to be in the metro St. Louis area any time in the near future?

We were approved to go in and see the closet at Logan's Women's Correctional Center. It was amazing, larger than we ever expected and the clothes were professionally displayed. Special thanks to Tricia Goldsberry and the Warden for allowing to see it!! ... See MoreSee Less
